Corporate Invitation Set
Mannheim Auction, a division of Cox Enterprises planned an "Evening in The Hamptons" event for its valued clients.  The theme was along the lines of a 'informal touch football weekend on the lawn of the Kennedy estate with jeans, deck shoes and white socks."  Following the client's request, we purchased a couple hundred of pairs of laundered jeans at a second hand shop, printed the invitation on a soft white cloth-like paper, folded it like a handkerchief and stuffed it in the screen printed pocket.  This unique Invitation was mailed in a square translucent vellum envelope to guests.

Corporate Invitation Set
Our client , Atlanta Arrangement was planning a special Southern-style Dinner for executives of L'Oreal, the well known cosmetics company and asked us to create an appropriate Invitation.  Our design captured regional flowers dried and pressed between sheets of translucent vellum to form an Invitation Cover.  The Inner Card was printed on a beautifully textured handmade paper imported from Spain.

Gala Invitation Set
The Atlanta Historical Society was planning its annual Swan House Ball.  This event is one of the pinnacles of Atlanta's social season and the Governor's wife has historically served as Co-Chair.  The theme selected for this year's Ball was "First Dinner Aboard the Titanic" and was influenced by the recently released Titanic movie starring actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.  In keeping with the riveting history of the Titanic, our designer Gwen Ware created an original watercolor of the H.M.S. Titanic sailing off into a starry night.  The watercolor was influenced by her in-depth research of the events surrounding the Titanic and Titanic posters of the era.  The Invitation was printed on heavy, natural parchment paper we artificially aged and coated with yellow shellac.  Ms. Ware's goal was to have the Invitation appear as if "it had been stored away in a attic trunk in 1912 and was only recently rediscovered."  The co-chair of the Swan House Ball Joan Dobbs White happily informed us that she knew the Invitation was a hit when it started appearing on the office cocktail tables of executives and the refrigerators of society matrons.

Gala Program
Les Dames d'Escoffier International is a worldwide society of women dedicated to creating a culture of excellence and promoting the achievement of women in the culinary professions.  The Electronic Pencil was asked to design and produce Programs for the Atlanta chapter's Grande Dame Gala.  In keeping with the event's decor, we created a simple pamphlet fold Program with an outer cover of handmade paper imported from India and an inner cover of heavy gold metallic stock.  We also printed the inner pages in a sepia toned ink to coordinate with the layered cover.

Corporate Event Map Card
Our client, Atlanta Arrangements planned a destination week for 7,000 Pfizer Pharmaceutical sales representatives.  A special treat event was scheduled to take place in Atlanta's Turner Field baseball park and we were requested to design map cards pointing out the various venues for the sales people.  After studying the look, colors and drawing styles of turn of the century baseball cards, our designer Gwen Ware designed the front of the Map Card as an oversized, antique baseball card coated with a soft-sheen lacquer and placed venue information on its back.

Menu Card
Affairs to Remember, one of Atlanta's top caterers was planning a special dinner for one of its clients and requested that we create an elegant and slightly understated Menu Card for the guests.  In response, we selected a beautiful font and textured artist's watercolor paper.  We cut the paper so the deckled edge remained and hand-dipped it in gold metallic gilt for that 'special touch.'

Gala Menu Card and Program
Not only did we design and create the Swan House Ball Invitation featured in Image 2-3, we also designed and produced a combination Menu Card and Program in the form of a 18 inch wide by 22 inch long (folded), six-page newspaper.  We researched events that occurred the day the Titanic sailed from Southampton England and inserted this information as articles through the newspaper.  We also created and added faux advertisement drawn in the spirit of the day.  We imitated the newspaper fonts and standard design of the era and printed the 'Newspaper Menu Card/Program on speckled and yellowed paper to imitate age.

Holiday Party Invitation Set
Careful hand folding and an interesting font were key in the design and creation of this unique Invitation for the Holiday Net Working Party of The Fulton County Development Authority.  The layered Invitation consisted of silver and gold metallic sheets.  The folded Invitation was held closed by a length of silver metallic, wired tinsel ribbon.

Announcement
Our designer, Gwen Ware loves to interpret historical events in paper.  When the Swan House Ball Committee decided it needed a letter to respond to RSVPs and assign table numbers, Ms. Ware offered to design a RSVP Response Letter in keeping with the historical significance of the Titanic.  After significant research, Ms. Ware obtained a facsimile of the actual letter sent to Titanic passenger that provided their cabin assignments and based the design of the Swan House Ball RSVP Response Letter on it.  For an added touch of authenticity, we artificially aged the parchment paper on which the RSVP Response Letter was printed.

Announcement
The Marietta Conference and Convention Center was celebrating its selection by Mobil as a four-diamond facility and decided to invite clients to join them.  The event colors were black, white, silver and gold; as a special feature of the party, The Marietta Conference and Convention Center decided to present an actual diamond to a very lucky, randomly chosen guest.  For that reason, we chose to accent the exclamation point in the Invitation's title with an sparkling Austrian crystal.
