GWEN
WARE...
has received competitive local, national and international awards for
her expressive drawings, prints, hand-made artifacts and sculptures since third grade. Today, she is an internationally recognized and award-winning Visual and
Graphic Artist creating what she calls 'Announcement
Art.' Gwen defines 'Announcement Art' as innovative, custom Invitations and coordinated
Save the Date Cards, Programs, Menu Cards, Place Cards and Event Signage whose
unique designs, interesting fonts, exotic papers, and
skilled craftsmanship have placed her work in a 'class of its own' among
professional Event and Wedding Planners. Within the Special Events
industry, Gwen is know for having 'raised the bar' for upscale
custom announcements.
In 1992 Gwen founded The Electronic Pencil, a unique artist’s studio.
The Electronic Pencil custom designs,
prints and handcrafts some of the most creative, keepsake-quality,
Invitations and collateral Announcements
available anywhere for WOW-level weddings, life celebrations, corporate events,
not-for-profit galas and balls, and memorial ceremonies.
Since winning her first industry award in 1996, Gwen
has been
known in the special events industry for very creative designs and
quality craftsmanship.

After personally designing and printing each project, Gwen
calls on the skills of a small team of project-driven, independent, local
Artisans in Atlanta Georgia who handcraft each
AMERICA-MADE
piece.
Gwen's focus never wavers from creating an attention-getting invitation that
communicates the mood of the event, make guests open it with great anticipation,
save the invitation as an event keepsake (and a bit of subtle bragging)...and
actually show up!
Much of
Gwen's work incorporates
non-traditional materials including handmade, highly textured and corrugated
papers, fabric, and metals. She enjoys the attention Invitations made
from non-traditional materials receive
and appreciates the hand-crafted, high quality feel they bring to her designs.
Her clients are thrilled by the element of surprise Gwen's work provides, as
well as how their non-traditional materials enhance their guests' perception of
the announcement's value and by extension - the value of the event.
Gwen
Ware's background includes a Bachelor of Science in Visual
Arts/Printmaking from Bradley University in Peoria IL, and a
Master of Arts in Invention and Creativity, Sculpture Emphasis from Governors
State University, University Park IL. Gwen also provided a decade+
of direct sales and global marketing and business research to
executives and engineers for Fortune 100 companies Dow Corning Corporation and
F. W. Dodge Division of McGraw-Hill.
